At Life on Belay, we hope to be a catalyst for community change so that vulnerable individuals everywhere will be served better and more effectively.
So, how do we do it? How do we solve this problem?
The problem we identified was threefold:
- Nonprofit Limitations
- Disjointed Communities
- Relational Poverty
Our approach to addressing these issues is strategic and intentional.
First – we need to strengthen nonprofits.
Life on Belay assists nonprofits in a variety of areas, maximizing impact. We know we make a lasting impact on communities by equipping local service providers with everything they need to do their work well.
Second – we need to unite leaders and efforts.
Life on Belay brings service providers, leaders, and the church together under a collaborative strategy. We know community leaders aren’t always on the same page. That’s why building bridges is a key part of the work we do.
Third – we need to mobilize the church.
So many vulnerable individuals are in a perpetual state of crisis. These cycles of brokenness can only be truly interrupted with long term, relational support – the kind of support you find inside of your church community. By mobilizing the church to engage with individuals in crisis, we’re inviting families in need into our church communities – where they’ll not only find long term support, but also Jesus Christ.
Using these three primary strategies for change, Life on Belay is able to have an exponential impact on local communities and families in need.
When we increase a community’s ability to care, the impact multiplies itself – lasting for generations.
